Small Successes–sewing and gifting edition

It’s important for moms to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So on Thursday of each week, we do exactly that.
1) The post about the dress (the post before this one).

2) I finished shopping for Haus Meister’s Father’s day.  On The Crafty Crow I found  a splendiferous idea for the perfect Father’s Day card for us to make for him, but I can’t link to it until after the Day because he actually does read this blog and I want it to be a surprise… as far as you can make anything a surprise when eager talkative children are involved. 😉

3) I found Rascal’s favorite book of the summer (The Rattlebang Picnic) and ordered it for his birthday in August, despite the obstacle that it was apparently out of print.  Fortunately for us, it had fallen out of favor as a library book in San Diego County, and it is now in our possession waiting to once again become his favorite book.  It was rather hard for him to give it back to the library. 😉
